Apply a thin film of glycerin (available at drugstores) to soften and protect your lips

**Here is a good tip for the permanent makeup techs out there, use Glycerin to thicken up the consistancy of pigment that is to thin and runny.  Distilled Water is used to thin out  pigment that is thick and pasty.  Always dispense using an eyedropper so that you have complete control of the quantity and so you don’t add to much.

CLEVER PERFUME TRICK

Dampen a small natural sponge with your favorite perfume or cologne and put it in a plastic sandwich bag. Keeps well in your purse or office desk drawer.

During the day you can moisten the sponge with some cold water and dab it behind your ears, knees, inside elbows and on wrists to give you a refreshed feeling.  Much easier than carring the bottle of perfume with you.

Double-Chin Prevention

A simple yoga exercise called “the Lion” firms the throat muscles under the chin.

                 

The entire exercise consists of sticking your tougue out and down as far as it will go.  Do this dozens of times throughout the day….in your car, watching TV, while doing the dishes or waiting for your computer to start up.

CARROT FACE MASK

Try making your own carrot mask at home

Scrub 2 to 3 medium-size carrots, then cut each carrot into 1-inch pieces and put them in a pot with a few cups of water.  Cook the carrots until they are slightly softened.  Transfer the carrots to a blender or food processor and puree.

Massage the carrot puree all over your just-washed face and neck.  Keep it there for about 20 minutes, then rinse with tepid water.

This mask is popular in European spas, where regular use is said to improve elasticity as well as smooth out wrinkles….

Eyebrow shaping tips

                    *Eyebrows should frame your eyes to enhance them. 

First remove the hairs across the bridge of the nose and between the eyebrows.  There should be one eyebrow over each eye instead of one bg eyebrow across the top one-third of your face. This can done using different methods like waxing, tweezing or threading 

The beginning of each eyebrow should be directly above the tear duct.

The end of the eyebrow should be at a 45-degree angle to the side tip of your nose.  Hold a pencil up to your face to measure.  Place one end of it alonside your nose.  The other end is to be placed at the outside corner of yor eye.  This will indicate where the brow should end.

Idealy the outside of the brow should be either level with the inside end of the brow or slightly above.  When looking straight ahead, the arch or high point of the brow should be directly above the outer edge of the iris.

The top and bottom of the brow should be almost paralleled to each other as it slants up from the inside end to the peak of the arch.

Finally it should then taper to a soft fine end.
